Marileda B. Carvalho, DVM, MSc, PhD, is a Professor at the Universidade Estadual Paulista Jaboticabal campus UNESP - São Paulo State, Brazil, since 1981. Her clinical and research interests are in nephrology and urology, which led her to spend two years at the University of Minnesota, to learn from Dr. Osborne, after her PhD conclusion at the Faculdade de Medicina de Ribeirão Preto USP, Brazil. In addition to her teaching and research activities, she oversees the Nephrology/Urology Service at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, where she enjoys the opportunity to provide hands-on patient care.
