Bruno Spolon Marangoni

Graduated in Physics (Bachelor's degree) in 2006, obtained a Master's degree in 2009, and completed a Doctorate in Basic Physics in 2013, specializing in the development of instrumentation for atom trapping and the study of ultra-cold collisions at the University of São Paulo (USP - São Carlos). Conducted a postdoctoral research period at Embrapa Instrumentation São Carlos in 2013. Served as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Physics at UFSCar from 2014 to 2016. Currently, holds the position of Associate Professor IV at the Institute of Physics at UFMS. Recognized as a productivity grant recipient at level 2 (CA-FA) by CNPq, this individual was an active member of the University Council (COUN) at UFMS from 2018 to 2022. In 2022, served as a Guest Editor for the Chemosensors journal. Presently, engaged in research related to Applied Physics, with a primary focus on advancing instrumentation for Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) in plasma; utilization of spectroscopic techniques and artificial intelligence for sample differentiation, classification, as well as specific marker identification and study. Interdisciplinary applications span diverse fields, encompassing biotonics, photodiagnostics, environmental, agricultural, industrial materials, and nanoparticles. Notable indicators of research productivity include an H-index of 13, 40 publications, 3 patent applications, supervision of 1 doctoral thesis and 6 master's dissertations, organization of 1 significant event, and securing of over R$ 700,000.00 in approved funding for research projects, scholarships (Master's/Doctorate), and events. Actively engaged in scientific collaboration, both domestically with partners like UFSC, EMBRAPA, and USP, as well as internationally, with notable collaborations in Italy.
