Guilherme Guerra Neto

He holds a degree in Veterinary Medicine from UNESP and a master's degree in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Pathology, from the same university. He has a specialization in Clinical Medicine and Surgery of Wild Animals (Qualittas/2004). Between 2005 and 2012, he was an associate researcher at SACCAS - Clinical and Surgical Care Service for Wild Animals at UNIRP/São José do Rio Preto and worked as a consultant and technical manager at aviaries and zoos in the northern region of São Paulo and the Minas Gerais Triangle. At the same time, he worked as a freelancer and in the Sebrae SP Program with biotechnology for the reproduction of large animals in the northern region of São Paulo. From 2013 to 2016, he was a CNPq Research Fellow, through the PCI-D Program, category A in Medicine and Conservation of Amazonian Aquatic Mammals and Coordinator of the Community-Based Amazonian Manatee Rehabilitation Center at the Mamirauá Institute. He was a veterinarian for the Santos Basin Beach Monitoring Project (PMP) at Univille, São Francisco do Sul/SC unit, working in the areas of rescue, stabilization and pathology of marine tetrapods from 2016 to 2018 and then worked for another year as Technical Responsible Veterinarian for the same project. In 2020, he was a veterinarian for the R3 Animal Association in Florianópolis, working in the areas of rescue, stabilization, rehabilitation and pathology of marine tetrapods at PMP/Florianópolis. He was Special Advisor to the Secretariat of Environment and Urbanism and Manager of the Zoobotanical Garden of São José do Rio Preto, SP from June/2021 to December/2024. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
