Raul Shiso Toma

He holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of São Paulo - ESALQ (2005), a master's degree (2008) and a doctorate (2012) in Agronomy (Soils and Plant Nutrition) from the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture at the University of São Paulo. He completed part of his doctorate abroad at AgroParisTech - France. He currently holds the position of Class C (Adjunct Professor Level 3) in the Department of Soil Sciences at the Federal University of Ceará (DCS/UFC). He is responsible for the Soil Survey Laboratory (DCS/UFC) (management 05/2023 to 04/2025). He was Head of the DCS/UFC (management 05/2019 to 05/2021) and deputy head of the DCS/UFC (management 05/2015 to 05/2017 and 05/2017 to 05/2019). He was the coordinator of the PPG in Soil Science/UFC (management (08/2021 to 07/202023). He has experience in the area of #8203;#8203;Agronomy, with an emphasis on Pedology and Soil Survey, working mainly on the following topics: Pedometry and spectroscopy. He has supervised 70 students at the undergraduate level (scientific initiation, teaching, extension and course completion work), specialization and postgraduate levels and supervised a post-doctorate. He currently supervises 2 doctoral students, 1 master's students, 1 scientific initiation student, 1 teaching initiation student, 2 academic initiation students and 1 student in the extension program. He is the leader of the research group GEPESOLOS - Teaching, Research and Extension Group in Soils (http://dgp.cnpq.br/dgp/espelhogrupo/343532) https://www.instagram.com/gepesolosufc/. He has three patent applications with the National Institute of Intellectual Property (Registration number: BR 10 2023 023864 5 deposited on 11/14/2023, Registration number: BR 10 2024 000462 0 deposited on 01/09/2024 and Registration number: BR 10 2024 019064 5 deposited on 09/16/2024)). It has established interdepartmental (Departments of the Center for Agricultural Sciences) and foreign partnerships with a view to internationalization (Universidad de Rio Cuarto/Argentina).
