She holds a degree in Industrial Chemical Engineering from the Lorena School of Engineering - USP (2007) and a direct PhD in Industrial Biotechnology from the Lorena School of Engineering - USP (2012). She is an Associate Professor III at the Federal University of Alfenas (UNIFAL-MG). She coordinated the undergraduate program in Chemical Engineering and the Graduate Program in Chemical Engineering for two terms at the same institution. She teaches undergraduate courses in Chemical Engineering and postgraduate courses in Chemical Engineering at the Poços de Caldas campus. She is a permanent professor in the Graduate Program in Chemical Engineering and a collaborating professor in the Graduate Program in Environmental Sciences, both at UNIFAL-MG. She leads the research group "Technologies for the Use of Waste, Byproducts, and Biomass" at CNPq. She has experience in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, working mainly on the following topics: Valorization of agro-industrial waste; Production and immobilization of enzymes and microbial whole cells; Preparation and characterization of supports for enzyme immobilization; Biomass pretreatment; Production and purification of biodiesel; Enzymatic modification of oils and fats; Production of biosorbents and biofilms; and Bioenergy generation.
