Graduated in Civil Engineering (1991) at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Master's Degree (1994) and PhD (1999) in Civil Engineering/Structures at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul . He was a visiting professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Federal University of Pernambuco from July 2003 to June 2005. He did post-doctoral training at the Department of Mechatronics and Mechanical Systems Engineering of the University of São Paulo (2005-2006) on the topic 'impact of small stiffness bodies in composites'. Since August 2007 he is an Adjunct Professor at the College of Civil Engineering of the Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná (UNIOESTE). He was a collaborating Professor at the Graduate Program in Energy in Agriculture (UNIOESTE). He performed a new postdoctoral internship at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of São Paulo (2019-2021) in the topic "Modeling, analysis and testing of motorcycle helmets subjected to impact loading". He has experience in the Continuum Mechanics area, working mainly on the following topics: Finite Element Method and Fluid and Structural Dynamics, particularly in dam-reservoir containment interaction problems.
