Currently Full Professor (retired). Taught Microbiology in Medicine, Biomedicine and Technology undergraduate courses. Has experience in Mycobacteriology, focusing on Molecular Biology, acting on the following subjects: diagnosis, identification and molecular typing of medically important mycobacteria, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Mycobacterium avium, rapidly-growing mycobacteria and mycobacterial extrachromosomal elements.
