Luiz Carlos Zeferino is the Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences at the State University of Campinas, from 2018 to 2022. He obtained his PhD in 1994, Associate Professor in Gynecology in 2003 and Professor of Gynecology in 2009, from the State University of Campinas. He has published 199 articles in specialized journals (127 international journals), 32 book chapters and 2 books. He has supervised 32 master's dissertations and 20 doctoral theses. He has received 33 awards and/or honors. He also performed various administrative activities, including the Technical-Scientific Director of the Oncocentro Foundation of São Paulo (FOSP), Executive Director of the Hospital da Mulher Prof. Dr. José Aristodemo Pinotti - Center for Integral Attention to Women's Health - CAISM of Unicamp, Associate Director of the Faculty of Medical Sciences at Unicamp and Superintendent of the Hospital de Clínicas at Unicamp.
