Anuska received her Biological Sciences degree (2007) from UNESPs Bauru School of Sciences, São Paulo State University, Brazil and she argued her PhD thesis (2013) at the Graduate Studies Program in Microbiology and Immunology of Paulista Medical School, Federal University of São Paulo, Brazil. She was a postdoctoral fellow at Paulista University (2013-2017) and at Cruzeiro do Sul University (2017-2022) collaborating with Butantan Institute (2019-2021). Currently, she is a Full Professor at the Graduate Studies Program in Environmental and Experimental Pathology, Research Center from Paulista University, Brazil. She has experience in Immunology and Microbiology, focusing on Cellular Immunology, Immunopathology, Immune regulation, Immunometabolism, Autoimmunity, Parasite-host relationship, immune response in infections. She was the first to demonstrate the ability of B-1 lymphocytes to produce insulin and her research group is focused on a protocol for metabolic reprogramming B-1 cells to alow a cellular therapy that is able to regulate the glycemia of individuals with Diabetes.
