Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). Instituto de Física Gleb Wataghin (IFGW) (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal) Birthplace: Brazil
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from the State University of Campinas (Unicamp) with specializations in medical physics, biomedical physics and pure physics, a Master's degree in Physics from Unicamp and a Philosophy Doctor degree from Unicamp in partnership with the Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS). I got specialized in X-ray microscopy during a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) when I studied multiple lensless imaging techniques using coherent light scattering. Currently, I work at the Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM) as a beamline researcher at the LNLS. At this moment, I am developing and constructing the Carnaúba nanofocus beamline designing the instrumentation and reconstruction algorithms for x-ray fluorescence and absorption, as well as high-resolution coherent diffraction imaging (CDI) technique known as ptychography. Those developments are part of the Sirius project. They will allow the construction of a state of the art X-ray microscopes with nanometric resolution applied to both material and biological sciences. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
