Dalmo Roberto Lopes Machado

Bachelor's degree (Licentiate) in Physical Education from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1989), Specialization in Motor Performance Evaluation from Universidade Estadual de Londrina (1995), Master's (2004) and Ph.D. (2009) in Physical Education from Universidade de São Paulo, Habilitation (Livre-Docência) in Measurements and Evaluation from Universidade de São Paulo (2015), and Post-Doctorate from the Faculty of Sport at the University of Porto (2020). Currently, he is an Associate Professor MS-5 (RDIDP) at the School of Physical Education and Sport of Ribeirão Preto - USP. Permanent Advisor in the Interunit Doctoral Program in Nursing (EE/USP - EERP/USP) and in the Graduate Program - Physical Education and Sport (EEFERP/USP). Leader of the Study and Research Group in Anthropometry, Training, and Sport (GEPEATE). Coordinator of International Exchanges in Lisbon (EEFERP/USP-FMH/UTL), Coimbra (EEFERP/USP-FCDEF/UC), and Porto (EEFERP/USP-FADE/UP). Evaluator of national courses (INEP/MEC; CEE-SP) and international courses (A3ES). He was an Adjunct Professor at the School of Education and Communication, University of Algarve (2022-2024), when was deputy director of the sports course and, and President of the Pedagogical Council. At USP, he served as President of the Undergraduate Committee - EEFERP (2013-2015) and Coordinator of the Specialization Course in Sports Training - Scientific Foundations at EEFERP (2012-2013). He has experience in studies on the Biodynamic Aspects of Physical Activity and Sport and Theoretical and Philosophical Foundations of Caring, focusing mainly on the following topics: body composition, physical exercise, lipodystrophy syndrome for HIV/AIDS, aging physical activity and health, biological maturation, sports with young people, and motor performance of children and adolescents.
