Marcia Marie Maru

She graduated from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo with a degree in Mechanical Engineering (1995), and a master's degree (1998), doctorate (2003) and post-doctorate (2006) in Engineering from the same university.She has worked at Inmetro since 2006, in the area of scientific and industrial metrology, as head of the Biomaterials and Tribology Laboratory. She has accumulated almost 30 years' experience in subjects related to tribology. She conducts research into the friction and wear of polymeric materials and composites, coatings, lubricants and products in the orthopaedic and dental fields. He is a participating member of ASTM committee G02 - Wear and Erosion and of working group WG12 - Implant Coatings of ISO committee TC150.
