Has a bachelor degree (2007) and a PhD (2012) from the Physics Institute of the University of São Paulo (Instituto de Física da Universidade de São Paulo) and currently a professor at the Center for Mathematics, Computing and Cognition of the Federal University of ABC (Centro de Matemática, Computação e Cognição da Universidade Federal do ABC). Has worked in studies of complex systems that have ecological and sociological origins through the use of dynamical systems tools and on studies of statistical mechanics of quantum systems (focusing in optical systems and qubits).
