Full Professor on Immunology of the Department of Biochemistry and Immunology of School of Medicine of Ribeirâo Preto, University of Sâo Paulo (FMRP-USP); he has Scholarship for Productivity in Research level 1A from CNPq; he is effective member of Academia Brasileira de Ciências (Brazilian Academy of Science) and Academia de Ciências do Estado de São Paulo (Academy of Science of São Paulo State); he is member of Comissão Municipal de Ciência e Tecnologia (Municipal Commission of Science and Technology) of Ribeirão Preto City Hall since 2007; he is coordinator of great projects and research networks (Instituto do Milênio [Millennium Institute], Núcleo de Pesquisa em Tuberculose [Nucleus of Research on Tuberculosis] of FMRP-USP, thematic and technological projects (PIPE) of Fapesp, economic subvention from FINEP, Bioinova and RHAE projects from CNPq, technological projects from STD/AIDS Program from the Ministry of Health); he has great experience in setting of technological platforms for Research, Development, and Innovation (R&D&I) of biotechnological products and processes, genic therapy and systems of lipid nanoparticles with controlled release; he actuates in the area of technology transference, regulatory aspects, intellectual property protection, and management of technological innovation projects; scientific consultant for company Farmacore Biotecnologia Ltda; ex-director of projects of Fundação Pólo Avançado de Saúde (Health Advanced Pole Foundation) of Ribeirão Preto (FIPASE); ex-member of the Administrative Council of SUPERA (Incubator of Technology-Based Companies - partnership among FIPASE, SEBRAE, and USP); ex-vice-president of the Administrative Council for implantation of the technological park of USP campus in Ribeirão Preto; member of the Comitê Assessor de Desenvolvimento Tecnológico e de Vacinas Anti-HIV (Advisory Committee of Technological Development and Anti-HIV Vaccines) from the National Program of STD/AIDS from the Ministry of Health, since January, 2004; representative of the scientific community in the elaboration of the Brazilian Plan for Anti-HIV Vaccines 2008-2012; effective member and consultant of WHO on vaccine area. As for the academic career, Professor Celio is pharmacist by FCF-USP; Master and Doctor in Biochemistry by IQ-USP; Habilitated Professor on Medical Microbiology by FMRP-USP; Full Professor on Immunology by FMRP-USP; Post-doctorship in the National Institute for Medical Research in London; Specialization on Scientific Press (480 hours) and Specialization on Strategic Management of Technological Innovation (360 hours) at UNICAMP. As for scientific activities, he has published more than 200 original papers in scientific magazines with high impact index, including Nature, author of several chapters of scientific books, author of 12 patents on products and processes in biotechnology and nanotechnology areas, he has also oriented 23 doctorship theses and 25 mastership dissertations and has been supervisor of works of 18 post-doctors.
