Holds a degree in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in Computer Sciences from Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo (EPUSP). Also holds a Masters degree from EPUSP, where a software for simulating MEMS fabrication processes was developed. He also holds a Doctorate Degree from EPUSP, where he continues to research cellular automata applications for simulation of microfabrication processes for MEMS, MOEMS and microelectronics. He is curretly one of the leaders of the NDS, a software developing group associated with the Department of Electronic Systems Engineering at EPUSP, where he has helped to advise and manage the work of the students working with the group. He has experience with distributed systems and servers as well as parallel computing. During his Masters and Doctorate studies, he also worked with the GNMD at LME-USP in the research and development of firmware and hardware for several projects. During this time, a remote satellite monitoring of ballast water aboard a ship was developed and successfully tested in 2015. He also participated in the development of hardware and firmware for a micro-thermo-cycler for use in the amplification of DNA by PCR. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
