Cintia Akemi Oi

I hold Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the Universidade Federal de São Carlos (2008) and I graduated in Teaching for the same institution. I have the Master of Science with the major in Genetics and Evolution by UFSCAR (2010). In 2016, I finished my PhD in Biology at KU Leuven (Belgium) at the Laboratory of Socioecology and Social Evolution, and my main topic of research is about chemical ecology on wasps. I worked as a post-doctoral researcher at KU Leuven (2016-2022). I am based at UCL (UK) working with origins of social behavior in solitary wasps. I was funded by Marie Curie fellowship (MSCA-IF) and now by NERC.My main interests are genomics of social insects, chemical #8203;#8203;ecology, population genetics and social evolution.
