Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP). Campus de Botucatu. Instituto de Biociências (IBB)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Medical Modality (Bachelor) from the Institute of Biosciences of Botucatu, São Paulo State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" (IBB Unesp) in 2006. Completed a Master's degree in Biological Sciences (Genetics) through the Postgraduate Program in Biological Sciences (IBB Unesp) in 2009 and obtained a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences (Genetics) from the same program. Additionally, I served as a Pre-Post-Doc Fellow through the Graduate Partnerships Program at the National Institutes of Health in 2013. From 2014 to 2019, held the position of Post-Doc Research Fellow at the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD/NIH), Bethesda MD US. Throughout academic and postdoctoral training, focused on Human and Medical Genetics with an emphasis on biological aspects related to human communication disorders. Key competencies developed in this field include project development, adherence to national and international ethical regulations concerning the collection of clinical data and biological material, genotyping, and quality control (QC) of SNP markers (arrays) and microsatellites, genetic mapping of Mendelian and complex diseases (linkage and association analysis), Sanger Sequencing, Massively Parallel Sequencing (NGS), Bioinformatics, and Statistical Analyses. Furthermore, possesses skills related to biological material purification and QC, primer design, preparation, and optimization of genomic libraries (Target Sequencing, Whole Exome/Genome Sequencing) and QC, organization and analysis of large-scale raw data, integration with related public databases, and finally, analysis, identification, validation, and interpretation of rare genetic variants. Contributed to projects related to the genetic aspects of stuttering in collaboration with São Paulo State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" - Faculty of Philosophy and Sciences (Unesp - Marília) - Center for Education and Health Studies "Dr. Heraldo Lorena Guida," with the Department of Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy, and Occupational Therapy Faculty of Medicine, University of São Paulo, and with The Stuttering Foundation - US. In a brief parallel project, collaborated with research at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) US to identify genetic components related to the "perfect pitch" or "absolute pitch" phenotype. Recently (2023), completed the professional development course in project management - "Project Management: Leading Organizations to Success" at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) - US (4.8 CEUs).
