Graduated in Chemical Engineering from the Faculty of Industrial Engineering FEI of PUCSP (1970), graduated in Sanitary Engineering from the University of São Paulo (1977), Master of Science in Hygiene / Air Pollution - University of Pittsburgh, USA (1974), doctorate and free-teaching in Public Health / Environmental Health by the University of São Paulo (1993 and 2006). Assistant Professor (1987-1993), Professor Doctor (1993-2006), Associate Professor (2006-2008), Full Professor (2008-2014) and Senior Collaborating Professor (2014-2024) at the University of São Paulo. He has experience in the area of Environmental Engineering / Sanitary Engineering, with an emphasis on air pollution, and public health, acting mainly on the following topics: Technologies for the control of air pollution, toxic pollutants, air monitoring, industrial ventilation and environmental management. Conducts studies and research on toxic substances (persistent organic pollutants - POPs, especially dioxins and furans, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons - PAHs, and metals).
