Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCAR). Centro de Ciências Exatas e de Tecnologia (CCET)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

He holds a B.Sc. (2003) and an M.Sc. (2005) in Physics from the University of Brasília, and a Ph.D. (2010) in Physics from the University of São Paulo. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), where he serves as Vice-Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Physics (2022present). His research focuses on Condensed Matter Physics, with an emphasis on computational simulations of structural, electronic, optical, and transport properties in nanostructured materials. He develops and applies methods based on Density Functional Theory (DFT) and tight-binding (TB) to study two-dimensional materials, halide perovskites, semiconductor alloys, and transition-metal compounds. He currently leads the SABIM research group (link), which is dedicated to the theoretical modeling of materials for emerging energy technologies. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
