Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). Centro de Pesquisas Meteorológicas e Climáticas Aplicadas à Agricultura (CEPAGRI)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Graduated in Biological Sciences (bachelor and licentiate) from the São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP) at the Rio Claro campus. Master in Ecology and Biodiversity from the same University. She developed, during her master's degree, the project entitled "Modeling carbon allocation, carbon residence time and functional diversity in tropical forests: a "trait-based" approach and the effects of elevated CO2" which is associated with the experiment "Amazon-FACE : elevated atmospheric CO2 experiment and its effects on the ecology of the Amazon rainforest". She is currently a PhD student in Ecology at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp) where she is developing the following research project: "Modeling functional diversity and resilience of the Amazon forest to climate change going beyond carbon stocks". This project seeks to understand the resilience of the Amazon forest in the face of climate change, taking into account ecosystem multifunctionality and the determining role of functional diversity. She is interested in the area of global environmental change and its effects on natural ecosystems, particularly on tropical forests. The main focus is to understand how functional diversity responds to such changes and how it mediates the effects of environmental changes on ecosystems. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
