Ariana de Souza Moraes dos Santos

Professor in the Postgraduate Program in Biomaterials and Regenerative Medicine at the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, PUC-SP, teaching the courses Biostatistics, Special Topics in Molecular Biology, and Seminars in Biomaterials and Controlled Drug Release. Completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Postgraduate Program in Biomaterials and Regenerative Medicine at the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, PUC-SP (2024), under the supervision of Prof. Dra. Eliana Aparecida de Rezende Duek. Holds a Ph.D. in Sciences from the Institute of Tropical Medicine, University of São Paulo (IMT-USP) in Tropical Diseases and International Health (2019). Earned a Bachelor's in Biology from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) (2014). She has experience in the physicochemical and biological characterization of bioabsorbable biomaterials applied to Regenerative Medicine. She has experience in bionanocomposite and nanowhisker characterization, chemical surface functionalization, biomolecule immobilization, atomic force microscopy, chemical force microscopy, and atomic force spectroscopy. Specialist in developing biosensors and nanoimmunosensors for detecting biomarkers of autoimmune demyelinating diseases of the central nervous system (CNS). Worked as Executive Director of the Programa Futuro Cientista (PFC), an extension project at UFSCar, Sorocaba, led by Prof. Fábio de Lima Leite. Extensive experience in Research and Development.
