He is currently director at Vetra's High-tech Ceramics. He is a Materials Engineer (1992) and has a Master (1995) and a PHD degree (2013) in Materials Science and Engineering at the Department of Materials Engineering of the Federal University of São Carlos (DEMa / UFSCar). He developed his Post-doctoral research (2015) in the area of Biomaterials at LaMaV (Vitreous Materials Laboratory - DEMa / UFSCar). Founder, former partner and former director of CENIC Laboratory of Special Tests (2007 to 2010), which performs mechanical tests - especially fatigue, in implants and products for health and automotive sectors. He worked at the Materials Characterization and Development Center (CCDM/UFSCar) from 1995 to 2008 as technical supervisor of the metallurgy, ceramics and implants areas and also as manager of the metallurgy area. In the area of Materials Engineering he also works in Materials Characterization and Failure Analysis. He is one of the authors of the book 'Failure Analysis: Cases Report" edited and published by CCDM-UFSCar and the chapter "Failures from the Casting Process" of the HANDBOOK of the American Society for Materials and Metallurgy (ASM) called 'Failure Analysis of Heat Treated Steel Components"- 2008.
