Cristiane Rodrigues Pinheiro Neiva

Holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the Universidade Católica de Santos (1991), a specialization in Fisheries and Aquaculture (1992), a master's degree in Food Science from the Universidade de São Paulo - USP (2003), and a PhD in Nutrition from the Faculdade de Saúde Pública da USP (2008). Since 1994, she has been a full-time scientific researcher, initially at the Instituto de Tecnologia de Alimentos - ITAL until 1999, and since 2000 at the Instituto de Pesca, both institutes of the Agência Paulista de Tecnologia dos Agronegócios da Secretaria da Agricultura do Governo do Estado de São Paulo. She was the Technical Director of the Laboratório de Tecnologia do Pescado from 2000 to 2011 and the director of the Centro Avançado de Pesquisa Tecnológica do Agronegócio do Pescado Marinho do Instituto de Pesca in Santos-SP from 2015 to 2017. Since 2021, she has been the General Director of the Instituto de Pesca. As a researcher, she works in the field of Fish Science and Technology, with an emphasis on technologies aimed at the full utilization of fish, technological innovation, and the sustainable development of the fish agribusiness. She has experience in fish quality control, processing technologies, specifically with the technology of obtaining mechanically separated fish meat (MSM), and the development of new products for the institutional market.
