Gesner Jose Oliveira Filho

Graduated in Economics from the University of São Paulo (1978), with a master's degree from the State University of Campinas - UNICAMP (1984) and a doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley (1989). Certified as a member of the Board of Directors (CCA) and as a member of the Audit Committee (CCoAud), both by the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance (IBGC). He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of TIM Brasil, where he coordinates the Audit Committee and is a member of the ESG Committee. He is also a member of Braskem's Board of Directors, where he coordinates the Statutory Audit and Compliance Committee, as well as Chairman of Estre Ambiental's Board of Directors and a member of Febraban's Self-Regulation Council. He is also a pro bono member of the Brazilian Institute of Ethics in Competition (ETCO) and a member of the Advisory Committee of the Movement + Water of the UN Global Compact Brazil. Director of the Basic Sanitation Division of FIESP's Infrastructure Department - DEINFRA, as of 05/25/2022 and Member of FIESP's Higher Infrastructure Council COINFRA as of 03/07/2023. Member of the International Academy of Law and Economics, from 27/05/2022.In the past, he has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of KWP Participações S/A., a member of the Advisory Board for Climate Policies and Actions of the Executive Secretariat for Climate Change (SECLIMA), a member of the Global Advisory Board of UBER and a member of the Boards of Directors of Usiminas, Sabesp, Nossa Caixa and Cesp.He has been a pro bono member of the Board of the Centro de Integração Empresa-Escola (CIEE), the Board of the Instituto Iguá de Sustentabilidade and the Conselho Regional de Economia - CORECON.Professor at the Getúlio Vargas Foundation - SP, where he coordinates the Center for Infrastructure Studies and Environmental Solutions - CEISA, coordinator of the IISR Institute for Innovation in Insurance and Reinsurance and partner at GO Associados. He has experience in economics, with an emphasis on trade relations, trade policy and economic integration. He works in the areas of antitrust and competition law, finance and regulation, sanitation, infrastructure, economics and public-private partnerships.
