Graduated in Geography at Universidade de São Paulo (1970) and PhD. from Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg (1976), Germany. Has experience in Geosciences, focusing on Remote Sensing, acting on the following subjects: multi-temporal mapping of urban areas, urban growth, land use/land cover, use of high spatial resolution sensor systems and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) for urban planning.
