Angela Brandão holds degree in History from the Federal University of Paraná, Brazil. Specialist in Art and Baroque Culture by the Federal University of Ouro Preto, Minas Gerais, Brazil, in 1998. She holds a Master's Degree in History of Art and Culture from the University of State of Campinas (IFCH-UNICAMP), where defended the dissertation: "Drawings of Tarsila do Amaral: the baroque from Minas Gerais by the modernist look". He holds a Doctorate PhD in History of Art, Historiography, Methodology and Heritage Conservation at the University of Granada, Spain, where he defended in 2002 the thesis "The Invention of the Baroque by Brazilian Modernism", approved with distinction and praise. In 2008-2010, he carried out post-doctoral studies at the Department of History of Architecture and Aesthetics of Poject at the School of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of São Paulo (FAU-USP), on "Decorative Arts in the 18th Century in Minas Gerais ".
