She is a professor at the Federal University of Alagoas, an associate researcher at the International Center for Studies in Social Representations and Subjectivity - Education (CIERS-ed) of the Carlos Chagas Foundation, a member of the Center for Research in Education and Psychology at the University of Évora. Professor and adviser of the Graduate Program in Education of UFAL and leader of the Research Group "Early Childhood Education and Human Development". She is a member of the advisory board of Revista Pátio Educação Infantil and member of the editorial board of the journals Poesis (UNISUL), Zero-a-six (UFSC) and Olhares (Unifesp). Expert in early childhood education, she works in a wide range of interests such as: integrated policies of early childhood education and care, social representations, curriculum approaches (High / Scope, Reggio Emilia, pedagogy of the Scandinavian countries, Portuguese Modern School Movement), professionalism and training of the early childhood education professional, research with children and peer culture.
