Holds a master's degree in Education from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1991) and a PhD in Social History from the same institution (1997). Conducted post-doctoral research activities at the Department of Contemporary Humanities at the University of Alicante, Spain (2008). Currently, is a member of the editorial board of Cadernos Ceru - Center for Rural and Urban Studies - CERU, Research Support Center, University of São Paulo, a researcher at the Center for Rural and Urban Studies - CERU, and have been a mediator of the Migrations and Identities study group at the Center for Rural and Urban Studies - CERU, since 2015. They belong to the Scientific Committee of the Brazilian Association of Oral History (ABHO).
