Gabriela Alcofra is the research coordinator, professor of the Professional Master's Degree in Performing Arts, of the undergraduate and professional technical courses at Escola Superior de Artes Célia Helena, assistant editor of Revista Olhares, scientific journal of the post-graduate program in Performing Arts at ESCH. PhD and Master in Performing Arts from UNICAMP, Bachelor in Dance from Faculdade Angel Vianna, with incomplete graduation in Social Sciences from UFRJ. An artist, body and movement researcher and teacher of body studies and practices, she has been active in research, production and creation related to the performing arts for over 15 years.She taught undergraduate dance courses at Universidade Anhembi Morumbi from 2019 to 2021, and also taught undergraduate theater and physical education courses in 2020. In this same year, she oriented and directed the research of the End of Course Work of the Bachelor in Dance, with the videodance Individualidades Coletivas, presented via YouTube platform, during the pandemic.At this university she taught classes in Somatic Education, Dramaturgy, Internship, Montage, Scenic Body Preparation, Inclusive Education, Dance Activities, Dance Techniques (Classical Ballet), Dance Techniques (Modern Dance), Dance Techniques (Contemporary Dance I and II), Dance for Special Communities, Improvisation, Movement Studies (Laban-Bartenieff System).In 2022, she taught the workshop Movimento e Poesia: DIspositivos intercambiáveis para possíveis dramaturgias do corpo, at Grupo Dançaberta, in Campinas, where she also premiered the piece "Saudade de quando a carne era corpo", a dialogue in scenic improvisation with dance and music.In 2021, she premiered the video-dance SEDE, winner of ProAc LAB 2020, being shown through the YouTube platform, where she addresses issues about real motherhood and gender prejudice. He directed the show Bá and was movement director for the show Linhas, by Cia Zin, a company dedicated to research and creation for early childhood. She relies on Somatic Education techniques, especially the Angel Vianna Methodology and the Laban System of Movement Analysis, to look at the other as a powerful alterity in its diversity, making the encounter the apex of creation. She is a Pilates instructor since 2007, having given classes with equipment at Studio Mariana Lobato from 2007 to 2012 and private classes until nowadays.She likes to dwell on the infinite universe of the movements from the skin inside. Prefers poetry. Believes in experience. Has hope in what is human.She is passionate about creation, the kinesthesia of movement, sensitive and sensorial empathy, the power of the body and its unknown, and human relations.She has published articles in specialized magazines in the area of Dance and Theater, such as the magazine Sala Preta (USP).As a performer and dancer, rehearser and body coach, she was part of Pulsar Cia de Dança from 2007 to 2012 and produced the authorial performances "Boi" (2012) and "Movimento sem Face" (2012).Together with Scottish choreographer Billy Cowie, she won the Big Dance Shorts award, co-directing the videodance "Tango Brasileiro", which toured several European countries in videodance festivals.She published the poetry book "Partituras de um movimento impermanente" by Multifoco in 2008 and writes texts and poems relating her researches of the body to poetry.Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version) (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
