Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Ouro Preto (1993), Masters degree in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (1997), and Doctorate in Civil Engineering from the same institution (2000), including a sandwich Ph.D. period at the University of Iowa, United States (2000). Postdoctoral research conducted at the University of São Paulo (2005, 2008), the University of Iowa (2004, 2007, 2009, 2018), and the Federal University of ABC (2012). Since 2016, serving as Professor of Structural Engineering at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC). Since 2021, acting as Affiliated Professor in the Graduate Program in Civil Engineering at the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo. Over 32 years of experience in Civil Engineering, with emphasis on Structural and Foundation Engineering. Areas of expertise include structural dynamics, stability theory, nonlinear analysis, structural reliability, computational methods, machine foundations, transmission line structures, telecommunication towers, and precast reinforced concrete structures.
