Fábio Rodrigues Ferreira Seiva

He holds both a Bachelor's Degree and a Licentiate Degree in Biological Sciences from São Paulo State University (UNESP), Assis (2005). He earned his Ph.D. in Health Sciences through the Graduate Program in Pathophysiology in Clinical Medicine at the Botucatu Medical School. He completed his postdoctoral training at UNESP and UNICAMP (2013). In 2024, he became a Tenured Associate Professor (Livre-Docente) in Biochemistry at the Institute of Biosciences, Botucatu. From 2012 to 2023, he served as a faculty member at the State University of Northern Paraná (UENP), Luiz Meneghel Campus. He is currently an Associate Professor at São Paulo State University (UNESP), Botucatu, affiliated with the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Institute of Biosciences (IBB). He is a permanent faculty member in the Graduate Programs in General and Applied Biology (UNESP/IB) and Experimental Pathology (UEL). He is a regular member of the Brazilian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (SBBq). His research focuses on experimental models of Non-Communicable Chronic Diseases (NCDs), with an emphasis on cancer, diabetes, and obesity. His research group studies energy metabolism and physiological and biochemical alterations, aiming to understand potential alternative and complementary therapies for NCDs. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
