Fernanda de Lima Moreira

Pharmacist graduated from the Federal University of Alfenas-MG (2010), with a Master's degree (2013) and a Ph.D. (2017) in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo (USP), including a doctoral research internship at the Department of Clinical Pharmacology at Indiana University (Indianapolis, USA). She completed a postdoctoral fellowship (2017-2021) at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ribeirão Preto, USP. She is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), teaching undergraduate and graduate courses related to pharmacometrics, biopharmaceutics, and quality control in the pharmaceutical industry. She has extensive experience in pharmacokinetics and pharmacometrics, with a primary focus on Modeling and Simulation using Physiologically Based Pharmacokinetics (PBPK). She is actively involved in national and international scientific collaboration networks with several institutions, including the Federal University of Goiás (UFG), Fiocruz-RJ, Hospital AC Camargo Cancer Center, University of Florida (USA), and Certara (United Kingdom). Her research focuses on applying PBPK Modeling and Simulation in clinical practice and industrial toxicology, employing New Approach Methodologies (NAM) and Next-Generation Risk Assessment (NGRA). She is a member of the Brazilian Society of Toxicology (SBTox), serving as the vice-coordinator of the Specialized Group in Industrial Toxicology (GETox). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
