He holds a PhD in Computer Science, with an emphasis on Computational Neuroscience, from the University of Hertfordshire in England (2013). He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Computational Neuroscience (2015) at the University of São Paulo (USP), a master's degree in Computational Sciences (2010) from the Rio de Janeiro State University (UERJ), and an Executive MBA in Business Management (2011) from Ibmec/RJ. He holds a bachelor's degree in Informatics and Information Technology (2007) from UERJ and in Psychology from Estácio de Sá University (2020), registered with the CRP/RJ 05/61776. He served as Director of Secondary and Technical Education at the Nilópolis campus of the Federal Institute of Rio de Janeiro (IFRJ) and is currently the General Director of the IFRJ Nilópolis campus. He is a visiting professor at the University of Hertfordshire in England, working in the departments of Computer Science and Engineering. His activities include both in-person and online courses, involving the supervision of undergraduate and master's students, and the teaching of various subjects. He has experience in Biomedical Engineering, with an emphasis on Biological Systems Modeling, and in Computer Science, with an emphasis on Analytical and Simulation Models. He primarily works in Computational Neuroscience, focusing on Synaptic Plasticity, in the following areas: biochemical, mathematical, and computational modeling of intracellular signaling pathways in the cerebellum, the activation of calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase (CaMKII), and the electrical potential in neuronal membranes.
