Mário Alves de Siqueira Filho

Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Education at the Federal University of Maranhão. He has a degree in Physical Education and Sports Technician from the Federal University of Pernambuco (2003), specialization in Bodybuilding from the Veiga de Almeida University (2004), Master's degree in Science (Physiology General) from the University of São Paulo (2008) and a PhD in Sciences from the University of São Paulo (2013). At TEACHING AREA, he works in the disciplines of Sports Training (Undergraduate) and Characterization of Physical Education as an Area of #8203;#8203;Knowledge and Professional Intervention (Postgraduate/Masters) and Coordinating monitoring teaching project; At EXTENSION AREA, he coordinates the functional fitness program for the elderly; In the RESEARCH AREACoordinates the Muscular Plasticity Laboratory (LAPLAM) and coordinates a research project involving the theme of physical exercise and the aging process as an object of investigation, especially with a view to the aspects of sarcopenia, functional fitness, falls in the elderly and independence functional.
