Abstract
The human T-cell lymphotropic viruses (HTLV-1, HTLV-2, and HIV) share the same routes of virus transmission and diverge in pathogeneses. HTLV-1 is the etiological agent of adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma (ATL) and tropical spastic paraparesis/HTLV-1-associated myelopathy (TSP/HAM), HTLV-2 is not associated with any particular disease, and HIV is responsible for the global pandemic of AIDS.…
