Chemistry graduate from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1982), master's in Organic Chemistry from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1987) and doctorate in Organic Chemistry from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1996). She currently is full Professor at Universidade Estadual de Campinas. Has experience in Pharmacy, focusing on Pharmacognosy,working with development of herbal medicines establishing parameters that meet safety, efficacy, and reproducibility requirements. Identifications of active compounds and standardization of plant inputs. Development of extraction methods, stability studies, and process validation. Pharmacological studies with in vitro and in vivo experimental models to evaluate anticancer, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antiulcer, and wound healing activity.
