Marine biologist graduated from UNESP, with a Masters and Ph.D. in Sciences with an emphasis on Aquatic Environment Biodiversity from the same institution, including a sandwich doctorate at the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II (Italy). Works in the field of ecotoxicology, focusing on the effects of environmental contaminants on the gastrointestinal tract, enteric nervous system, and microbiota of aquatic organisms. Has experience in histopathology, molecular biology, and teaching in higher education. Currently a postdoctoral researcher at UNESP with a FAPESP fellowship, supervising students in the Graduate Program in Sustainability of Coastal and Marine Ecosystems (PPG-ECOMAR) at Universidade Santa Cecília. Her research investigates how emerging contaminants impact the microbiota-gut-brain and enterohepatic axes, integrating metagenomics, metabolomics, and the AOP framework to identify biomarkers and systemic effects of these pollutants.
