Ph.D. in Sciences from the Graduate Program in Surgical Sciences at FCM/Unicamp, with an emphasis on Translational Surgery and a sandwich doctorate at the August Pi i Sunyer Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBAPS) in Barcelona, Spain.
