I hold a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (2004), a master's degree in Zoology from the National Museum - Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2006), and a Ph.D. in Zoology from São Paulo State University - UNESP, Rio Claro campus, SP (2012). I am currently an Titular Professor level A at the State University of Santa Cruz (UESC) in Bahia. I have experience in the field of Zoology, with an emphasis on Herpetology, focusing primarily on the integrative study of the natural history and systematics of amphibians. I have been the curator of the institution's amphibian collection (MZUESC) since 2015. I also occasionally collaborate and publish with the Arachnology Laboratory of the National Museum of Rio de Janeiro (MNRJ). I served as vice-coordinator of the UESC Zoology Graduate Program (PPG Zoology) from August 2016 to August 2018, and I coordinated the program from August 2018 to August 2020.
