This project is about spatial structured population dynamics, mainly using reaction-diffusion equations. It is intended to understand how habitat degradation and fragmentation, mostly caused by human activities, influences in such ecosystems´ interactions. The greater part of this project is focused on theoretical approaches, but adjusting models to real data is also of interest. (AU)

It is intended to model the behavior and abundance of Anopheles mosquitoes populations involved in malaria transmission. It will be built models based on agents with the objective of studying the interaction between human and vectorial populations. Different parameters sets will describe distinct scenarios and efficiency of mosquito population control methods will be discussed.
