Professor at the Department of Geography at USP and accredited to the Postgraduate Program in Human Geography (PPGH), César Simoni Santos obtained the title of PhD in Human Geography in 2013, performing part of his research work linked to the Université Paris 3 - Sorbonne Nouvelle. He is a member of the Radical Critical Urban Geography Study Group (GESP), was a researcher at the Support Center for Research in Urbanization and Globalization (NAPurb), took part in the international network of Spatial Justice/Justice Spatiale, based in France, in 2014, is member of the Critical Urban Theory Group of the Institute for Advanced Studies (IEA-USP), he is coordinator (leader) of the LIMIARES: Limites da Acumulação e Reprodução do espaço (Thresholds: Accumulation Limits and Space Reproduction) Research Group, was also a researcher in the HIGHRISE project, developed between the University of São Paulo and the University of Lyon-Lumière 2 and funded by FAPESP and ANR and coordinator of the academic agreement signed with the Geographischen Institut of the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel, Germany. He was Visiting Professor in the Geography and Planning Graduate Program at the University of Toronto (U of T), as part of the Bousfield Distinguished Visitorship in Planning, and was a fellow of the Urban Studies Foundation (USF) during the postdoctoral (International Fellowship) held in Canada. He has experience in research in the field of Geography, with an emphasis on Human Geography, working mainly on the following themes: production of urban and regional space, urbanization of the Brazilian territory and reproduction of contemporary urban-metropolitan space. He was coordinator of the graduate program in Human Geography at USP between 2019 and 2021. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
