Allan Gustavo Bregola

Holds a bachelor's degree in Gerontology (2013), a master's (2016), and a PhD (2020) in Health Sciences from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), Brazil. Completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Leading Clinical Research Delivery at the University of Exeter (2024) and is currently developing skills in data science. Since 2022, has been working as a Senior Clinical Researcher at Central London Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (UK), where leads the clinical studies delivery team. Previously worked as a researcher at the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) and at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston (UHBW) from 2021 to 2022. Was also an associate researcher at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of East Anglia (20192021), developing studies funded by the Alzheimers Society UK. Was a visiting researcher at the University of East Anglia (Capes/PDSE 2017) and the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Cambridge (FAPESP/BEPE 2015). Serves as a peer reviewer for national and international scientific journals and is a member of the editorial board of Frontiers in Neurology. Also supervises professional master's students at the University of Exeter and the University of Sheffield. Research interests and expertise include cognitive impairment and degeneration, dementia, functionality and aging, frailty, mortality, informal caregiving, mental health, quantitative methods, and advanced statistics in clinical research and trials, with a particular focus on community-based care.
