Holds a PhD in Management from the School of Management of the University of Bath (2009), an MSc degre in management with a specialization in Marketing from the Faculty of Economics of the Universidade do Porto (2002), and a bachelor's degree in Management from the Universidade Portucalense Infante D. Henrique (1997). Between January and July 2009, was a post-doctoral research fellow at Manchester Business School (MBS), and for the following 2,5 years held that same position at the Faculty of Economics (FEP) of the Universidade do Porto. The latter was a joint project between FEP and MBS. Has experience in Management, teaching and doing research mostly on the following subjects: salesforce, business networks, supply networks, service infusion, network pictures and sensemaking, business relationships, business models, and science and technology parks. She published in international top ranking journals in marketing, such as the ournal of the Academy of Marketing Science (ABS4*), International Journal of Research in Marketing (ABS4), Industrial Marketing Management (ABS3), European Journal of Marketing (ABS3), Journal of Business Research (ABS3), o Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing (ABS2), and the Journal of Personal Selling and Sales Management (ABS2). Carla has been actively involved, either as a participant or as a coordinator, in multiple international reserach projects. After teaching for 6 years several management related subjects (bachelor level) at the Universidade Portucalense Infante D. Henrique (1997-2003), Carla taught between 2009-2012 at the MSc level at FEP, and at the MBA level a MBS. Later she took on a full time teaching position as a lecture in marketing a MBS (2012-2013). Having joined INSPER in 2013 as an Assistant Professor in Marketing in a full time position, Carla lectures at the undergraduate and postgraduate level (MSc and MBA), and carries out research in the area of marketing. She has been since january 2022, Associate Professor in Marketing at Insper. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
