Iara Baldim

Graduated in Pharmacy-Biochemistry from the University of São Paulo (FCFRP-USP, 2012), with a Masters degree (2017) and a Ph.D. (2022) in Medicines and Cosmetics (CAPES rating 7) from the same institution, integrating the team of the RD Laboratory in Pharmaceutical Processes (LAPROFAR) since 2014. She completed part of her Ph.D. at the University of Minho and the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory, in Braga - Portugal, focusing on the micro and nanoencapsulation of essential oils for the cosmetic and pharmaceutical sectors. Founder of APOTHECARE (2020), a company specialized in the production of essential oils from its own cultivation and natural cosmetics based on essential oils. She has solid experience in the development of bioproducts and technologies applied to the drying and nanoencapsulation of natural active ingredients, using techniques such as spray drying and freeze-drying.
