Ph.D. in Linguistics from FFLCH-USP, she is a professor in the Post-Graduate Program in Philology and Portuguese Language at USP and coordinates the M.A.P. Project - Women in Portuguese America (http://map.prp.usp.br/). She was a visiting professor at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Porto (2023/2024). She is part of the scientific committee of NEHiLP - Research Support Center in Etymology and History of the Portuguese Language (https://nehilp.prp.usp.br/) and participates in ETeP - Text Editing in Portuguese, a research group that prepares conservative editions and conducts studies on the production, transmission, and preservation of written text, as well as regularly conducting paleography workshops. She is also part of C4AI - Center for Artificial Intelligence at USP (FAPESP/IBM), working on building corpora for natural language processing in Portuguese. Her expertise lies in the fields of Philology, Paleography, Codicology, History of the Portuguese Language, and Digital Humanities. She conducts research in archives such as the IEB-USP Archive and APESP. Balancing her professional career with the motherhood of a young child, she is also a stepmother to two young adults.
