Clarissa Hamaio Okino Delgado

Clarissa Hamaio Okino Delgado holds a degree in Agronomic Engineering from ESALQ/USP (2008), a Masters (2014) and Ph.D. (2017) in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Plant Biochemistry from the Institute of Biosciences at UNESP (IBB/UNESP). She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Food Engineering at IBILCE/UNESP (2022) and is currently conducting postdoctoral research at the Department of Chemical Engineering at UFSCar (since 2023). She is the co-founder of Ikove Agro Bioinsumos Agrícolas Ltda., a startup focused on the development of biological technologies for sustainable agriculture.Over the past ten years, she has worked as a scientific consultant for Hops Brasil Cultivo e Comércio de Lúpulo, visiting researcher at UFSCar (20222023), lecturer in the Agronomy program at UNIRP, and quality auditor specializing in the regulatory registration of agrochemicals. Her research expertise lies in the bioprospecting of enzymes and bioactive compounds from agro-industrial residues through direct extraction and fermentation processes (solid-state and submerged), with applications in agricultural bioinputs, food, bioremediation, and biofuels.She has coordinated two research and innovation projects, supervised 33 undergraduate theses, mentored 6 interns, and co-supervised 2 undergraduate research students.
