Bachelor's degree (2013) in Physical Education from Escola Superior de Cruzeiro, Master's degree in Science (2016) from the Postgraduate Program in Translational Medicine at the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP), and Ph.D. in Physical Education (2021) from the University of Brasília (UnB), with a Sandwich Program at the Department of Kinesiology at Iowa State University (2020). He served as the coordinator of the Physical Education course at the Estácio University Center of Brasília, where he achieved an excellence score of 4 (four) in the Recognition of the Physical Education Bachelors Degree program by INEP/MEC (2022). He is currently conducting postdoctoral research in the Department of Medicine at Emory University (United States), with funding from the American Heart Association in the amount of R$ 937,185.00, awarded in 2025. His research focuses on the neural control of circulation at rest and during exercise in humans, with training in advanced techniques such as direct recording of sympathetic nerve activity (microneurography) and infusion of vasoactive drugs (Modified Oxford). Additionally, he has clinical training and conducts research focused on patients with Parkinsons Disease and Chronic Kidney Disease, adopting a multidisciplinary approach. He has received several national and international awards, with the most recent ones being the Postdoctoral Excellence in Renal Research Award, awarded by the Renal Section of the American Physiological Society in 2024 and the New investigator Award from the American College of Sports Medicine in 2025. He is a member of the Brazilian Society of Physiology (SBFis), the American Physiological Society (APS), the American Heart Association (AHA) and from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).Contact: jeann.carvalho@emory.edu (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
