Physiotherapist graduated from the State University of Santa Catarina - UDESC - Brazil. Got the PhD in Sciences from School of Medicine of University of São Paulo, Department of Medical Sciences - Inflammatory and Allergic Processes with an year period at Harvard Medical School - Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH) (Boston, USA). Currently is a postdoctoral fellow at BWH, Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
