Birthplace: Brazil

Graduate student from 2010 to 2014 (Mechatronics Engineer at São Carlos School of Engineering (EESC/USP)), in 2011 started his undergraduate research, focused on the development of computational Serious Games for neuromotor rehabilitation treatments (for victims of fractures or neuromuscular diseases) assisted by robots (e.g. active orthoses and exoskeletons). For his master's degree (02/2015-02/2017), he continued the work in this research line, focusing on network communications for remote robotic rehabilitation (robotic telerehabilitation) via Internet. In a collaborative project with MIT, he developed and tested algorithms for delay compensation (movement prediction and coordinate interpolation) in multiplayer virtual activities of telereabilitation. During his doctorate (03/2017-04/2020) he followed up with studies in the area dealing with the problem of remote interaction involving force exchanges (bilateral control). With the combination of algorithms present in the literature, he sought to optimize the compromise between stability and transparency in bi and multilateral multiplayer robotic telerehabilitation activities. The Robotic Rehabilitation project, which involves the development of the equipment, is led by Professor Adriano Almeida Gonçalves Siqueira. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
