This project aims to presente to the Brazilian reader a novel by the Congolese author Alain Mabanckou we deem significant within the range of his work: Mémoires de porc-épic, winner of the Prix Renaudot in 2006. We not only intend to translate this work, but also to present the characteristics of the cultural history of Congo and mainly enter the world view and the poetics of the author. …
